Tax Credit Donations
To make your tax credit contribution online with a credit card for either OMA or other Fine and Performing Arts programs, and to learn more about the AZ Tax Credit, go to TUSD's online tax credit web page. Find the current list of OMA schools at: Opening Minds through the Arts schools.To make your tax credit donation by mail, make out the check to the school of your choice. If you want your donation to apply to the OMA program, please mail the check to TUSD OMA Program, 2025 E. Winsett St., Tucson, AZ 85719. For tax credit donations for band, orchestra, and other programs, mail the check to your chosen school.
In the memo section of the check, you should indicate the program you would like to have your money assist. If you make a donation to the school's Fine and Performing Arts program, you should further indicate your area of interest by listing Opening Minds through the Arts (OMA), music, band, orchestra, drama, dance, or visual arts.
As an Arizona resident, a tax credit contribution of up to $400 may be given to a school of your choice ($200 for a single individual or head of household, $400 for married couples filing a joint return, $200 if married filing separately). If you make a donation of up to $400 to an approved public school program, you may take the sum as a credit against your State taxes. This is not a tax deduction -- it is a tax credit which reduces your State tax dollar for dollar. You do not have to have a child in the school system to claim this tax credit.

Other Donations
Any type of donation is welcomed and greatly needed by TUSD Fine and Performing Arts. Cash donations are most helpful, but donations such as art supplies, costumes, musical instruments, set building materials, artifacts, and works of art are also appreciated. Volunteer
TUSD Fine and Performing Arts is currently working with volunteers from a variety of different backgrounds. Our volunteer group, AVA (Active Volunteers for the Arts), is helping TUSD Fine Arts with various projects including teaching lessons in the ARTSmobile and researching artifacts.If you are interested in volunteering for any part of the TUSD Fine Arts program please inquire at 520-225-4900.
